the past month

Since I haven’t sent out any e-mails over the past month, i figure i will give you a 1 minute rundown of my life:

Before school started we had a 3 day orientation in london filled with enough tourist walks to kill even chuck norris. Not to worry, i had on my trusty running shoes. blah. Some of the places we saw were the tate modern, British museum, parliament, Westminster Abby, globe theatre, london bridge etc. Although i have been to London before, it was nice to see it with someone who actually lives their (our tourist guide) ((however she moved to London only 15 years ago from America, yet tried very hard to have the accent down, seemed to me like a bit of a Madonna rendition)) Anyways, London was great, one night a group of us went to a little french restaurant where a drunken Lithuanian tried to propose to Christina (friend from SUNY) in an attempt to get a green card and an old Scottish man couldn’t keep his hands off of katie (KU), not to worry, i caught it all on tape, along with his feelings on Scotland becoming a separate country, go figure.

After that we went to Leicester, which is about a 3 hour drive from London, and started school the following week. School has been going well, however it seems that the British are far more learned than Americans, at first it seemed just because of the accent, but upon completing a presentation for W.B. Yeats today (whom i despise) I found out that yes, i am an idiot, and yes Americans are the half breed. Whatever, we still got the whole world superpower thing going on.hahahaha.

I have been on a couple of trips so far;  I’ve gone to London to visit Mirick (friend from camp), and also been to Madrid, which is AMAZING! On another note, I am now considering switching back to spanish and living in Spain for five years to teach english, i don’t know, just a thought. This week I’m off to Liverpool to visit Anna (another friend from camp) and i’m SO excited to see her!

This might have been a bit longer than a minute, sorry.
